This size of this unit is 20.1 x 13.4 x 3.9 inches, it has a power cord that can plug into a normal outlet which is 36 inches long. You don’t need any special types of cookware to use on this burner, the ring sizes are 6.1 inches and 7.4 inches and fitting the base of the pan to the ring size will give the best heating result with the least heat loss, using larger pan bases will make it more difficult to get an even heat over the whole base it will be concentrated in the area of the heated plate.

There are only 2 simple controls on the unit, 1 knob for each burner. These controls have an indicator light for each burner so that you know when you have turned it on for safety reasons, the controls are well marked and numbered to make it easy to know what heat level to select. The hot plate has a thermal fuse to prevent overheating, it will automatically switch off for a few seconds if it goes over the selected heat required to keep the heat at an even temperature. Both of these plates have the same wattage so you don’t just have one to simmer and one to boil as you do with some other double burners. This is also easy to clean, the stainless steel base is easy to wipe down as well as the heating plates when they have cooled down.

If you are using this as a replacement while doing renovations in your kitchen you will need to know it isn’t as powerful as a stove burner and may take longer to boil water if thats what you need to do on it as it takes a while to heat up, but once there it can hold it’s heat until you’ve completed your cooking as long as you are aware that if you don’t need it at the highest heat for long you will need to manage it as it takes a while to cool down too.
